ANKA”, the Turkish Unmanned Aerial Vehicle designed by the engineers of the Turkish Aviation and Space Industry in cooperation with several local subcontractors, has left the Hangar with a ceremony held on July 16, 2010 at the Turkish Aviation and Space Industry facilities after its assembly. Leaving the hangar, ANKA’s engine was also started, and ANKA aims to be the world's best operating system in its category.

It is a Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) UAV Program. The UAV Program is a development project featuring three aerial vehicle prototypes,

aiming to design and develop all ground systems around defined needs and complete the prototype and development tests. The Program features “Conceptual Design", “Preliminary Design and Development” and “Testing and Evaluation” phases. During the development phase, a System Integration Laboratory (SEL) was set up where all systems would be developed/interfaced/integrated.

Flights tests have been underway since December 30, 2010, and a 10-aircraft serial production contract (ANKA-S) has been signed in October 2013 for the “ANKA” Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. ANKA-S Project is successfully underway, with a successful Review Meeting in February 2014, since when, the design activities have gained pace.

As part of the simultaneous Block B configuration, there are ongoing SAR/ISAR/GMTI radar integration activities. This system has also been tested as of the second half of 2014.

ANKA Unmanned Aerial Vehicle was exhibited in the ILA Berlin Airshow and Farnborough Airshow in 2014.

It was decided to develop and equip T129 ATAK Helicopter with Turkey-specific national capabilities to meet the Turkish Armed Forces’ attack helicopter need.

A program was initiated under an agreement signed on September 7, 2007, and TUSAS undertook the platform, system integration, production system engineering for all projects and lifecycle logistics support as the Main Contractor.

Following the entry of the agreement into force in 2008, the helicopter flew for the first time on August 17, 2011, and about 95% of the initial part of the helicopter is manufactured by domestic means in Turkey, and its entire mission equipment has been redesigned in accordance with the requests and experience of the Land Forces Command.

The first delivery of T129 ATAK Helicopter was made to the Land Forces Command on April 22, 2014, and as of February 2021, 60 helicopters have been delivered to the Land Forces Command, Gendarmerie General Command of the Ministry of Interior and the General Directorate of Security of the Ministry of Interior.

Optimized for heavy weapon loads and challenging “hot temperature-high altitude” missions, T129 ATAK Helicopter has been developed by national means and capabilities to meet the Turkish Ared Forces’ attack helicopter needs, and the delivered helicopters effectively perform missions during the operations of the Turkish Armed Forces with high maneuverability and performance in night and day conditions.

As part of the ATAK Program, T129 ATAK Helicopters will be delivered including 91 helicopters in total to the Turkish Land Forces including 59 definitely and 32 optionally, 27 helicopters in total to the Ministry of Interior including 24 definitely and 3 optionally, 30 helicopters to the Pakistan Air Forces and 6 helicopters to the Philippines Air Forces.

JF-17 Thunder is an advanced, light-weight, all weather, day / night multi-role fighter aircraft; developed as a joint venture between Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC), Kamra and Chengdu Aircraft Industry Corporation (CAC) of China. It possesses excellent air-to-air and air-to-surface combat capabilities. The state-of-the art avionics, optimally integrated sub-systems, computerized flight controls and capability to employ latest weapons provides decisive advantage to JF-17 over adversaries of same class. This, all weather, multi-role light combat fighter has remarkable high combat maneuverability at medium and low altitudes. With effective firepower, agility and combat survivability, the aircraft is likely to emerge as a potent platform for any air force.

Progress

The first JF-17 prototype aircraft (called FC-1) was rolled out in May 2003. It made its first flight in August 2003. Later on, two more prototype aircraft were added for basic structure, flight qualities, performance and engine flight testing while two prototype aircraft were involved in comprehensive avionics flight testing. The basic flight testing was completed in 2007 which also marked the arrival of JF-17 Thunder aircraft in Pakistan where it was formally presented to the nation as a Pakistan Day gift on 23 March 2007. A Test and Evaluation Flight was established at PAC Kamra which carried out the detailed operational evaluation of the aircraft as well as the training of ground and air crew. The JF-17 aircraft has been formally inducted in Pakistan Air Force by replacing A-5 aircraft of an Operational Squadron of PAF. The aircraft was show cased for the first time at Farnborough Air Show UK in the year 2010.

JF 17 THUNDER BLOCK 3 COMBAT CAPABILITIES

JF 17 thunder block 3 has capable of air to air refuel. In war/difficult time it capability to carry weaponry of 3500 kg / 8000 pounds which includes wide range of modern weaponry. It carries air to sea missile, air to ground, anti-ship missile, anti-radiation missile, satellite guided bombers, short range lazar guided. Recently guided smart bomb successfully has been operated in which JF17 Thunder carry capabilities will give to next level.

It can pinpoint accuracy targeted which is invisible from far distance this technology known as BVR (Beyond visual Range). In BVR system in which smart bomber utilize, with pinpoint accuracy target at extend range without any collateral damages. Moreover, it also carry atom bombs warhead missiles.

JF 17 THUNDER BLOCK 3 SPECIFICATIONS

JF17 Thunder is a multiple role fight aircraft that works multiple tasks in one package. Basically it is capable of air to air combat and capable to engage and intercept of enemies aircraft in the air. It is also capable attack air to ground means Two victims in one arrow.it can also do air-reconnaissance(recce/spy) at enemies place.

It can provide confidential information through an image sensor. Most Russian and American aircraft design manufacture in the market never do specific tasks (multiple purposes) it is few aircraft known as multiple role aircraft and JF 17 Thunder is one of them. Its aerobat feature (light weight) due to this, it holds height combat aerobatic maneuvering capabilities means it gain height very quickly. In medium altitude it can turn very fast. Also can dive very fast. Due to height combat, aerobatic maneuvering capability (light weight) is only one engine mounted.

Mostly aircrafts have two engine for reason of one engine, less speed from Competitors aircraft. Comparison Average speed of competitors are above 2000 km/h and JF 17 Thunder is 1900 km/h. The speed unit of supersonic fighter defined in mach. The average JF 17 thunder speed is in between 1.6 to 1.8 Mach (1900-2000 km/h). It can fly maximum height of 55,000 feet. The advantage of one engine is low maintenance cost.
